TV/Film: Best and Worst Moms in the History of TV and Film
Hey gang! With Mother’s Day coming up tomorrow, we’re taking a look at the best and worst moms in the history of TV and film. I put out a call on the Twitters a few hours ago to get a response, and here’s what you had to say:
@SUPBEC: tami taylor, fnl [ed. “Friday Night Lights”], best mom/woman in general of all time.
@MrBrotatoHead: The mom in “Almost Famous”. Starts as a BEEYOCH, but reveals herself to be supportive in the end.
@MrBrotatoHead: Also, Padme [ed. from the “Star Wars” prequels]. Like, really?…Really?
@k8howell: Best mums: The Kids Are Alright. Worst mum: Nancy from Weeds #mothersday
These are all awesome choices. Here are a few more of the gleefully worst in TV and film:
Lucille Bluth, “Arrested Development”: My friends and I played the “Arrested Development” drinking game a few weeks ago. Everyone gets assigned a character, and players have to drink every time their assigned character does something according to the rules of the game. I got Lucille, and I’m still recovering from the hangover. Lucille Bluth is one of the more overt monsters of the series, and also responsible for some of the biggest laughs. Lucille manages to fail on a catastrophic level in raising the Bluth children, and its for this reason that she’s one of the worst moms in TV.
Mother, “Psycho”: I won’t spoil just how terrible Mother is in this film, just in case you haven’t seen the film. But she’s one of the worst.
